ABOUT MIDWASTE
Regional Waste Forum

 

MIDWASTE is the forum made up of representatives from eight member Councils located on the Mid North Coast of NSW, whose focus is regional co-operation in waste management and waste minimisation.

MIDWASTE has developed a "Regional Resource Recovery Strategy" as a link between the member Councils individual waste strategies and the waste strategy of the NSW Government. The relationships are described below:

Each year-long stage has been divided into milestones, with timelines for completion. This format has provided MIDWASTE with a methodical process to follow, ensuring success when providing "Weapons of Mass Reduction".

One of MIDWASTE's major aims is to provide measurable diversion of waste from landfill, with areas that hold the greatest potential for diversion having high priority.
